Caring for your sterling silver bracelets and rings
All 925 Sterling Silver jewellery can tarnish and turn yellow when they are not worn regularly and they are exposed to air. They can naturally tarnish over time with perfume and lotions used.
This can be prevented by following a few simple rules:
- Take them off when you go to bed and store them in a jewellery box
- Do not store jewellery with any metal plated costume jewellery
- Don't wear them in the bath or shower
- Avoid direct contact with perfume or moisturising lotions.

Try to avoid jewellery contact with moisturisers, perfume, chlorine and cleaning agents as these will affect the outer finish and also the longevity of the elastic.
Remove your jewellery in these circumstances
Take your jewellery off prior to swimming and sports or other physical activities.
If your sterling silver jewellery becomes tarnished then follow these simple steps and it will bring them up looking brand new again.
- Take one litre of water, add one tablespoon of baking soda and one piece of aluminium foil to a boil.
- Carefully dip the jewellery in the boiling water using tongs for 10 seconds
- Remove jewellery (repeat step 2 if necessary)
- Polish: Frequently polish with a soft silver cleaning cloth to maintain a beautiful shine and avoid any tarnishing build up.
